Designing for Health

The Health Technology Education Program offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional training in human factors and UI/UX design for the improvement of health.

What is health technology?

Any technology used in the context of healthcare such as smart-home technology, social and assistive robots, digital home assistants, social engagement tools, wearables, and applications to support patients and their care.

Health technology is centered on designing for the improvement of health by combining the principles of human factors, UI/UX, and hardware and software engineering.

The health technology domain incorporates all consumer-facing and medical-facing technologies intended to support individuals in maintaining and/or improving their health and independence.
